We recently had a totally fun Valentine’s party for my girls and their cousins, and the party favors were these adorable Valentine’s Day Love Bombs.
We have a lot of little girls in this family. You can check out all the other fun we had making Chalkboard Heart T-shirts, Valentine Swirl Cheesecake Bars, and even a Candy Charcuterie Board.

Easy Valentine Party Favors
These are some of my favorite desserts to make when you’re a busy mom but want something cute for the kids. They are similar to my Monster Toes on a Stick recipe for Halloween. You just start with a box of chocolate covered Twinkies and then add your own decorations like candy melts, sanding sugar, and confetti sprinkles. They’re so easy to decorate, and they look adorable packaged up in the treat bags. Plus, there’s no baking involved!
My toddler loves these love bomb treats. She was convinced they were her “birthday cakes” even though it’s no where near her birthday. You know, these would be cute as little mini birthday cakes with sprinkles and colored candy melt drizzles.
These treats are perfect as Valentines with my free printable Valentines to tie on. We debated whether they were like “Cupid’s Arrows” or “Love Bombs” so the printable has both types of Valentines.

How to make Valentine’s Day Love Bomb Treats
These Valentine’s Day treats are ready in less than hour from start to finish.

Easy Valentine's Day Love Bomb Treats
Make these adorable Love Bombs with store bought treats!
Materials
- 1 box of Chocolate-covered Twinkies
- 1/2 cup Pink candy melts
- 1/2 cup Red candy melts
- 1 cup white candy melts
- Cake pop sticks
- Valentine-themed sprinkles
- 6 x 4 inch treat bags
- 1/4 inch pink or red ribbon
- gold duct tape
Tools
- Scissors
Instructions
Making the Arrow Sticks
Cut a 4-inch piece of gold duct tape.
Lay the end of the stick on half the duct tape and fold it over the edge.
Cut the duct tape at a downward angle to create the tail of an arrow.
Do this 8 times (one for each Twinkie).
Making the Twinkies into Love Bombs
Melt the white candy melts in 30 second increments. Stir after each 30 seconds. Continue melting until smooth (about 90 seconds).
Add 1/2 a teaspoon of oil if too thick and stir.
Lay out wax paper on a cookie sheet and open all 8 Twinkies.
Dip about 1 1/2 inches of the stick end into the white candy melts, allow excess to drip off. Then, insert it into one end of the Twinkie. Do this for all 8 Twinkies.
Decorating the Love Bombs
Drizzle the white candy melts over each Twinkie.
Melt the pink candy melts the same way as the white candy melts.
Add oil if it's too thick.
Do the exact same thing with the red candy melts.
Drizzle the pink and red candy melts separately over each Twinkie.
Quickly, before the candy melts harden, sprinkle the Valentine sprinkles over each Twinkie.
Allow the Twinkies to completely dry for an hour on the counter or for 15-20 minutes in the freezer.
Package each Twinkie in a 4 x 6 treat bag with twist tie.
Notes
These can be 3-4 days ahead of time if necessary. I like to make them 2-3 days before a party.
