Do you ever find a totally cute and and fun Halloween treat to make, and then you realize they take way too much time? I’m all about store bought things to make easy Halloween treats like these Monster Toes on a Stick.
When I found chocolate-covered Twinkies, I thought they would be perfect as Monster Toes on a stick – a totally gross out treat for the kids at Halloween and so easy! You can whip a batch of these up in just 15 minutes and be ready for the class Halloween party. Here what to do:

How do you make Monster Toes on a Stick?
This will be enough to turn an entire box of Twinkies into Monster Toes! (which is about 10 Twinkies)
Use either bigger lollipop sticks or good quality paper straws and push the straw about 3/4 of the way through the Twinkie.
This part is the most time consuming. Take a caramel that is pliable and just work it until you can mold it into a toenail shape and put it on the end of the Twinkie like the photo. I found Kraft caramels are better because they are a little harder than Werther’s soft caramels. Werther’s are so soft that if you make these ahead of time, they will slowly melt off the Twinkie.
I found peanut butter flavored candy melts were an almost exact match to the caramels, but you can also use a light brown candy melt. Melt them every 30 seconds in a squirt bottle until it’s totally smooth and melted. Then, add three lines for a knuckle and make a rounded line just under the caramel toenail to create a cuticle.
I added a drizzling of dark brown candy melts to be like fur or hair on the toes. Just like the peanut butter candy melts, you will melt the dark brown candy melts every 30 seconds in a squirt bottle until it’s totally smooth and melted. Then, drizzle over the whole “toe” except for the toenail.
That’s all there is to it! Now take a big bite of one of those toenails!
