What do you need to make Bloody Screaming Donuts in your Air Fryer?
With the help of your Air Fryer you can make these Bloody Screaming Donuts. You will need:
- 1 tube of Pillsbury Grand’s Biscuits
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup butter, softened
- Wilton’s Blood Red Glaze
- a rolling pin (or just a cup for rolling out the biscuits)
- 1-inch round cookie cutter
How do you make Bloody Screaming Donuts in the Air Fryer?
I like to use the Sweet Hawaiian or Honey Butter biscuits to add some sweetness.
Roll out each biscuit until it’s more oblong in shape.
Then use the 1-inch cookie cutter to cut out the eyes and a mouth.
After the eyes and mouth are cut out, then stretch the biscuits a bit to give them a more ghoulish look.
Spray the air fryer with non-stick oil spray.
Place 2-3 screaming donuts in the air fryer spaced out. Make sure they are still looking elongated so you get a scary look.
Set the air fryer to 345 F degrees and cook for 6 minutes.
They should come out just a bit golden brown.
While the donuts are cooking, make up the cream cheese glaze.
If your cream cheese and butter are not softened, then you can quickly soften them in the microwave.
To soften butter, place it it in it’s paper in the microwave for 6 seconds, then flip to another side for 6 seconds. After about 3 times of this, the butter should be softened.
To soften the cream cheese, place it in a microwave-safe bowl and heat for 20-30 seconds.
When the cream cheese and butter are softened, place them in a medium-sized bowl and add the vanilla extract and powdered sugar.
Beat until the mixture is smooth.
When the donuts are done, remove from the air fryer. Line them up ready to dip in the cream cheese frosting.
I like to dip them by gently holding between the eyes and nose.
Let them dry for a few minutes before adding drips of the Wilton’s Blood Red Glaze.
Serve immediately and enjoy!
Keep leftovers in a sealed container for a day or two.
