What are the three ingredients you need to make this strawberry cobbler?
It’s so simple! You’ll need:
- 1 box of Jiffy Golden Cake Mix
- 1/2 stick of softened butter
- 1 can of Strawberry Pie Filling
How do you make this 3-Ingredient Strawberry Cobbler in the Air Fryer?
Preheat the air fryer to 400 F degrees for a few minutes. If your air fryer doesn’t have a preheat option, just run the air fryer for about 5 minutes at 400 F degrees.
Combine the cake mix and the softened butter in a medium-sized bowl. You don’t want melted butter, just room temperature, softened butter to mix with the cake mix.
I like to use a fork or a pastry cutter to combine the butter and cake mix. You want the butter and cake mix to look crumbly.
Pour the strawberry pie filling into the a 7 or 8-inch cake barrel. I got mine in an Air Fryer Accessories Kit.
Then, top the pie filling with the crumbly cake mix butter mixture. Spread it over the entire top of the pie filling.
Place the cake barrel into the air fryer. Set the air fryer to 400 F degrees for about 15 minutes. It’s ready, when the cake mix topping looks golden brown.
Allow it to cool for a few minutes before serving.
What other kinds of cake mixes can you use?
You can use about 2 cups of dry cake mix from any yellow cake mix box instead of 1 box of Jiffy Golden Cake Mix, as sometimes that one can be hard to find. I always find it at Walmart.
What other kinds of fruit pie filling can you use?
You can use all kinds of fruit pie filling. I’ve made this recipe using apple pie filing and blueberry pie filling and even cherry pie filling. Just make sure it’s a pie filling.
Can you use fresh or frozen fruit instead of pie filling in this cobbler?
I have a somewhat similar recipe over on Just An Air Fryer called a Blueberry Crisp in which I use cornstarch and sugar with frozen or fresh fruit. The topping is different, but similar.
If you want to try this with fruit and not a pie filling, I recommend adding 2 tablespoons of corn starch and 2 tablespoons of white sugar to the fruit before adding the topping. But, the crust might sink down a bit into the juices of the fruit.
What kinds of toppings can you add to this strawberry cobbler?
You can top it with a few things. Add a scoop of ice cream, dollop of whipped cream, or a drizzle of cream.
