Ingredients to make a Christmas Cake Loaf
- 1 white box cake mix
- eggs
- oil
- water
- red food coloring
- green food coloring
- Christmas sprinkles
- 1 can white frosting PER LOAF (2 cans total)
How do you make a Christmas Cake Loaf?
Mix the box cake mix and the required ingredients.
Divide the batter into 3 separate bowls.
Add green food coloring to one bowl
Add red food coloring to another bowl.
Keep the last bowl white.
Grease the bottom of two loaf pans.
Add spoonfuls of each color of batter until the loaf pan is filled halfway.
Gentle use a butter knife and swirl the colors.
Bake 8-inch loaves for 37 to 45 minutes or 9-inch loaves 34 to 42 minutes, or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
When done, cool for 10 minutes and remove from pans.
Cool each loaf completely on a wire rack about 1 hour.
When the loaves are cool, melt the frosting for 60 seconds in the microwave.
Stir it until it’s nice and smooth.
Place a cookie sheet under the wire rack and pour the frosting over each loaf.
Immediately sprinkle with Christmas sprinkles.
Allow the frosting to cool completely.

Yes, in fact, I think it’s better to make it up a day or two ahead of time because this will give plenty of time for the frosting to harden.
