This Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Dump Cake takes just 4 ingredients and tastes divine!

Ingredients to make Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Cake
- 1 box Devil’s Food cake mix
- 16.5 oz refrigerated chocolate chip cookie dough
- 3.9 oz box instant chocolate pudding mix
- 2 cups half and half or milk
How to make a Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Dump Cake
Preheat oven to 350 F degrees.
Spray a 9 x 13 pan with non-stick oil spray.
In the baking dish, pour the pudding mix into the baking dish.
Mix together the pudding mix and milk (or half and half) until it’s completely combined. Let it sit for about a minute or so until it thickens.
I have made this with both milk and half and half and it works great either way.
Next, mix in the cake mix into the pudding until it’s completely moistened and mixed in.
Spread it evenly in the pan.
Chop up the cookie dough into small 1-inch pieces and drop them all over the cake.
Bake for 40-45 minutes, until the a toothpick comes out clean in the cake and the cookies are golden brown.
Serve immediately.
Toppings for a Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Dump Cake
I wouldn’t recommend adding frosting as it covers up all that yummy chocolate chip cookie on top.
This is really good served with a scoop of ice cream.
It’s also delicious drizzled in caramel or hot fudge ice cream topping.
One of favorite ways to serve this is with a drizzle of dulce de leche or a drizzle of sweetened condensed milk. Both are favorites!
Can I substitute other cookie dough?
I would totally do this. I think peanut butter cookie dough would be amazing or the peanut butter cookie dough Reese’s Pieces would be amazing and so would Sugar Cookie or any other flavor.
How to store the leftovers?
Just cover the baking dish with plastic wrap or foil and leave it on the counter for up to 4 days.
Can you make these ahead of time?
Yes you can, but it tastes so wonderfully amazing fresh out of the oven with the fresh hot cookie flavor.
