Here’s a quick and easy treat your kids will just think is so much fun — Unicorn Poop Edible Cookie Dough!
Having three daughters, we might just be a wee bit obsessed with pink, purple, and unicorns in this house. Who wouldn’t want to eat some colorful unicorn poop? Especially if it tastes like cookie dough!
Edible cookie dough is probably one of my all time favorite desserts. I don’t know why, but it’s so much better than making actual cookies. But, it’s also so deliciously rich, you can easily make yourself a little sick if you eat too much.
You might not realize, but it’s very important to bake your flour BEFORE adding it to the cookie dough. I think that is very important when you make edible cookie dough. You can read more about “why” on my Guardian’s of the Galaxy Gamora cookie dough recipe.

Unicorn Sprinkles Mix
Now to make the very important Unicorn Sprinkles mix you will need 1 pouch each of Light green, Light Blue, Hot Pink, Yellow, Purple, and Orange nonpareils and sprinkle jimmies. You can find these at Michael’s craft stores.
Unicorn Poop Cookie Dough
Lay out parchment paper on a cookie sheet and sprinkle out the flour all over. Bake for 5 minutes at 350 F degrees. Then, set the flour aside to cool.
Using an electric mixer, cream together the sugar and butter until fluffy and well combined.
Mix in the vanilla and salt until combined and fluffy.
Beat in the flour 1/4 cup at a time just until all combined.
Divide the dough into 3 bowls and add the food coloring gel into each bowl. Pink in one bowl, purple in the second bowl. and green in the third bowl and mix until well combined.
Put the dough back into the original mixing bowl, and then, add in the unicorn sprinkles. Mix for just a couple of seconds to put it all together. But don’t mix it very long or the colors will all combine into an ugly color. If you’re worried, then just gently knead it by hand to combine the colors.

- 2 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 3/4 cup flour
- 1 cup of Unicorn Sprinkles
- Purple, Pink, and Green gel food coloring
Instructions
- Lay out parchment paper on a cookie sheet and sprinkle out the flour all over. Bake for 5 minutes at 350 F degrees.
- Set aside the flour to cool.
- Using an electric mixer, cream together the sugar and butter until fluffy and well combined.
- Mix in the vanilla and salt until combined and fluffy.
- Beat in the flour 1/4 cup at a time just until all combined.
- Divide the dough into 3 portions and add food coloring gel into each bowl. Pink in one bowl, purple in the second bowl. and green in the third bowl and mix until well combined.
- Place the dough back into the original mixing bowl and add in the unicorn sprinkles.
- Mix just slightly together but not too much so that the colors don’t fully combine!
Use an ice cream scoop to scoop portions out or eat out of the bowl yourself! Make sure you have a big glass of milk!
