Table of Contents
Ingredients to make a Candy Bar Dump Cake
- 1 chocolate cake mix
- 30 fun size candy bars
- 8 fun size M&MS
- 6 oz chocolate chips (or skip M&Ms and use 12 oz chocolate chips)
- 8 oz butter – 2 oz bottom (6 oz on top)
- 1 1/2 cups whipping cream or half and half
How do you make a Halloween Candy Dump Cake?
Preheat the oven to 350 F degrees.
Melt 8 tablespoons of butter.
Drizzle 2 tablespoons of melted butter all over the bottom of a 13 x 9 pan.
Layer M&Ms all over the bottom of the pan, about 8 fun-size packages.
Open about 30 fun-size candy bars and lay them all over the M&Ms.
Next layer half a bag of chocolate chips with the M&Ms. You can also skip this step and double the M&Ms amount or skip the M&Ms and use a whole bag of chocolate chips instead.
If you’re using full size bars instead of fun size, it takes about 6 of them and break them up into smaller pieces and layer all over the M&Ms and chocolate chips.
Sprinkle the chocolate cake mix all over the candy.
Drizzle 1 1/2 cups of half and half all over the cake mix. Try to cover it well.
Drizzle 6 tablespoons of melted butter over the cake mix. If you missed any with the half and half, make sure to get it with the butter.
Bake for 45 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
