Love baby potatoes? Have you tried them with a Garlic Parmesan Parsley Seasoning Mix? My family devours them when I do.
My kids love those baby potatoes in the produce section that come with a little seasoning packet. Their favorite is the Garlic & Parsley ones, but we have a big family. So one package doesn’t feed everyone. But they do sell a “family size” bag of the potatoes, but… they don’t come with the seasoning.
So I’ve been working to the bone to create a seasoning that rivals their little seasoning packet, and I think I might have cracked it. My 14 year old swears this easy seasoning tastes just like the little seasoning packet with the smaller package.
Table of Contents
What ingredients do you need to make this Garlic Parm Parsley Seasoning Mix?
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon salt (I like sea salt)
- 1 tablespoon of dried parsley
- 1 1/2 teaspoons black pepper
How do you make it?
Just add all the spices and mix it up. Then, store it in a sealed container.
I use about 3 tablespoons of the mixture for 3 pounds of potatoes.
When I cook the potatoes, I roast them in the oven after basting them in olive oil. Then, when they’re ready to come out (30 minutes later), I add a couple of dollops of Land o’Lakes Butter with olive oil and sea salt and about three tablespoons of this Garlic Parm Parsley seasoning.
But… you can totally make these potatoes in the microwave, too. Instead of 30 minutes, it takes only 5 minutes. I’ve done it many times when I’m short on time. Plus… I kinda love using the microwave. (Check out my other blog, JustMicrowaveIt.com if you love using the microwave, too.)
