Bagels are such a easy and fast weekday morning breakfast. When I was a kid, my dad got us up for breakfast before school, and I remember he always had a Lender’s® Bagels every morning for his breakfast. Every time we went grocery shopping, I would help my mom find his bagels in the refrigerated dairy section, and they had to be Lender’s® Bagels.
Now with my own family, I find these are some of my favorites as well. I love that it’s a quick kid-friendly breakfast, too. Lender’s® Bagels are the perfect on-the-go breakfast, and they are just so versatile. You can make them with so many toppings from cheese and turkey to just plain toasted with some Smart Balance® Buttery Spread. You can find both in the refrigerated dairy section which is right where I found them at Walmart.
One of my family’s favorite ways to have our Lender’s® Bagels in the morning is as Easy Caprese Bagels, toasted with some Smart Balance® Buttery Spread along with slices of fresh marinated mozzarella and sun dried tomatoes. You will not believe how delicious this is. My teens have been asking for this breakfast every day for a week now. Here’s how to quickly make it:
Spread a light layer of Smart Balance® Buttery Spread on each half of the bagel.
Next, slice up some marinated mozzarella cheese balls and place them on each half of the bagel. Then, top with some shredded sun dried tomatoes. I like to buy my sun dried tomatoes already julienned so breakfast can be quick.
Next, I toast them for just a couple of minutes to crisp up the outside of the bagel halves and warm up the cheese. I don’t wait until the cheese is completely melted before pulling it out.
Breakfast is served in under five minutes with these Easy Caprese Bagels! I’ve been loving this breakfast as much as the kids. As soon as I get home from dropping everyone off, I make my own. If you have some fresh spinach in the fridge, it’s delicious to add along with the cheese and tomatoes.

Yes please. I could eat these every single day! What an awesome way to start the day!
Love a great tasting bagel. The topping are always fun to try to choose from. Everyone wants something different around our house.
Now this Caprese Bagels is a great breakfast meal. It’s easy to prepare and looks so tasty.
I never thought of putting a caprese salad on a bagel. This looks so absolutely delicious. I think I need to pick up some Lenders’ bagels and make this tonight.
I love caprese anything! Is definitely something that I’m going to do. It is probably one of my favorite go to foods.
When I eat a bagel it’s just usually with the standard cream cheese. You have shown me that there are certainly more tasty options for topping my bagel. Thanks!
What a mouth watering breakfast bagel that is! I would love to wake up one morning to this. Maybe tomorrow? I hope my family gets to read this post and cook this for me. Yummy!
This looks delicious, I’m a bagel lover and I’ve now passed that on to my children. We love a toasted plain bagel with butter, but this probably tastes much better.
That looks so good! I love Lender’s bagels. They are just the right size, and they have so many different flavors.
Lender’s are my favorite bagels also. I once took Lender’s and all sorts of toppings with me to visit my grandkids and they all converged in the kitchen quickly. We had a nice visit around the table. Love my Lender’s bagels 🙂
Those look fantastic! My mom would always make different bagel based things for me when I was younger, and I loved them!
Oh my, this looks fantastic! I am obsessed with bagels but have never thought to make a caprese version.
Oh these looks so delicious! Now I am craving for one!
Yum! This is a new way to have a bagel, I always get into the rut of just cream cheese, thanks for the idea!
I love Smart Balance as well as Lender’s Bagels! I have smart balance in my fridge right now. I enjoy the dairy-free kind!
My husband and kids would be all over this one, it looks so yummy! I haven’t tried this brand though.
Omg can we say yum?!?! These bagels look absolutely delicious!! I must give your recipe a try!
