The Incredibles has been my absolute favorite Disney Pixar movie. When we saw it, I had just had my second baby, so I took my newborn who slept and nursed the whole time while me and my oldest daughter, who was 4 yrs old saw it together. We are so excited we celebrated with some The Incredibles 2 Cake Balls inspired by the movie!
Check out the latest trailer! I love how Helen’s the one getting the job done this time.
Now let’s make some Incredible Cake Balls!
Table of Contents
The Incredibles 2 Cake Balls
Make the cake batter according to the box and then split the batter into 4 bowls.
Add 1-3 drops of food coloring into each bowl and mix until combined.
You’ll be able to fill 3 cupcake liners per color, about 2/3 full.
Bake for 15-20 minutes.
Once the cupcakes are done, let them cool. Then, crumble the three cupcakes of one color into a bowl. Next, you’ll add 1/2 tablespoon of frosting to the crumbled cake and mix until it’s dough-like. Do this for each color.
Take a small spoon and scoop a bit of each of the colored cake mix and mold together into a ball. You can eyeball it, but I recommend about a teaspoon size of each color dough. Do this until you’ve used up all the dough and made balls. Then, freeze them for 30 minutes until solid.
Prepare the chocolate in the microwave, stirring every 30 seconds, until the chocolate is nice and smooth.
Prepare a cookie sheet with a sheet of wax paper. Then, get the cake balls from the freezer and dip each one in the chocolate. Make sure to use a fork to rotate the cake ball so that it becomes fully coated in the chocolate. Then, lift the cake ball out of the chocolate and lightly tap against the edge of the pot to get rid of the excess chocolate.
Place each freshly dipped cake ball onto the wax paper on the cookie sheet and quickly sprinkle some confetti sprinkles on top of the cake ball while it’s still a bit wet. Then, do the same thing for all the rest of the cake balls. When all the cake balls have been dipped, allow the chocolate to harden before serving or packaging up.
Enjoy!
