Earlier this week I shared a fun Girls Night In gift basket idea that included a bottle of homemade Pomegranate Lemonade. Here’s that delicious recipe!
Lemonade in all its forms is one of my favorite beverages. I love all the flavored lemonades you can find from Blueberry Lemonade to Peach Lemonade. The only one I just don’t have a taste for is Mango Lemonade. I just do not like mango, and I hate that I don’t like it. Do you ever get mad at yourself when you don’t like a food? I am always amazed at the chefs on television who can taste and love anything.
This Pomegranate Lemonade is so easy to make. There’s no way I’m attempting to juice a pomegranate. That just sounds like a nightmare. You’ll need to purchase unsweetened Pomegranate juice. The brand I always find is Pom Wonderful. I usually buy the smallest bottle because you’ll only need 1 cup of the juice. Then, we’re going to cheat a little and make it easy.
Now for the lemonade. You have two choices. You can juice 8-9 lemons and make a simple syrup with sugar (or a sugar substitute like sucralose (Splenda) or stevia (like Truvia). Or you can cheat and just use a can of frozen lemonade. I’ve made it both ways, and both ways are delicious. I do like to make it with fresh lemons so that I can make it with a sugar substitute like Truvia. However, the easy method is in the recipe down below with instructions for the frozen lemonade version. You can even use frozen pink lemonade!
I found these awesome bottles at Ikea that are approximately 1 qt 1 pt size (about 6 cups), and I use them all the time to make flavored lemonades. This recipe will make about 2 bottles of Pomegranate Lemonade. I use a funnel and fill each bottle halfway, and then I fill it the rest of the way with water. Next, shake it up, and chill in the fridge until you’re ready to drink or give as a gift.

When I saw pomegranate as an ingredient I was slightly scared about juicing but you hit that right out of the park! Glad to know we feel the same about trying that little potential fiasco! 😉 My kiddos love flavored lemonade, this looks perfect for the Summer!!!
Lol, Michelle! I’ll be honest, I can barely peel the thing, even after watching those YouTube videos that show how to peel one.
OH my gosh, that sounds refreshing! I think those two flavors would be fabulous together and I can’t wait to try this! Yum, yum, yum!
mmm, I love Pomegranate and lemonade. I have yet to try the two together. I recently got a new grill and want to get that going soon with some homemade recipe. I usually make strawberry lemonade but this sounds awesome! I will have to try this!!

I love all things lemonade and this sounds so refreshing…
This looks outstanding. Really refreshing. Great for a hot day.
Yummy, this drink sounds good. My husband is probably thankful since the closest IKea is in Frisco. I like the bottles, maybe I can find something similar around here.

I’ll have to try this sometime. I use the recipe on the bottles of lemon juice. We get larges ones at Costco, 1 cup of juice, 1 cup of sweetener, 6 cups water. I wash and reuse a 64 oz. bottle after we drink all the orange or cranberry juice from it. Some vesions have you make a simple syrup, but I just pour through funnel, cap and shake. For Cranberry Lemonade, put ice in glass fill approx. 1/3 with choice of cranberry cocktail or juice mix, rest of the way with lemonade. During cough and cold season, made the lemonade with brown sugar or honey, heated it up and sprinkled in some spices – mix of cinnamon, ginger, cloves or allspice.
What a great idea, Susan, to make a lemonade for cold season like a mulled lemonade. I’m definitely going to try this!
This. Looks. So. Good!!! Great recipe!!
Oooh, YUMMY! We’re getting ready to go on a road trip down to Florida (from South Carolina), and I’m looking for easy food things to take with us, so we don’t have to buy so much fast food on the way. I’m adding this punch to my list of things to make–refreshing and easy! 🙂
Yum! Def want to try this and the plus it’s EASY! 😉 Thanks for the share
Yum this sounds delicious!
You’re not alone in the mango hate – I can’t stand it and I wish I liked it! I’m the same way with seafood!
