Table of Contents
Ingredients to make Chicken Alfredo Mac and Cheese
- 16 oz elbow noodles
- 15 oz jar alfredo pasta
- 1-2 cups of pulled chicken
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1 cup cheese
- 2 tablespoons heavy cream
How do you make the Chicken Alfredo Macaroni & Cheese?
Cook the pasta according to instructions.
Once the pasta is done, drain it, and add the cheese and 1 tablespoon of heavy cream and mix it up.
In a large skillet, add the garlic and some olive oil and heat on high. When the garlic is aromatic, add the chicken and give it a stir.
I like to use the frozen Tyson grilled pulled chicken. It makes this dish so easy.
But, if you prefer using fresh chicken breasts, cook them however you prefer while the pasta is cooking and then cut them into small chunks before adding to the sauce. I sometimes like to have my husband grill two chicken breasts and then chop them up to add to the sauce.
Once the chicken is hot, add the jar of alfredo sauce.
Mix the chicken and garlic into the sauce.
Add the cheese and continuing mixing until it’s melted.
Once the sauce mixture is bubbly, add the pasta to the skillet and mix it all up.
Remove from the heat and serve immediately.
How do you store leftovers?
Keep in a sealed container in the fridge for up to 5 days.
You can also freeze it in a freezer-safe container for up to a month.
Can you make this ahead of time?
You can and keep it covered in the fridge. Then, heat it up in the microwave or in the oven until it’s bubbly.
