We made some Dreamsicle and Root Beer Pop Rocks Ice Cream Floats with Pop Rocks candy that were so fun! This is a sponsored post.

One of the easiest ways to break out of the family routine is to have a fun surprise at the end of the day. Play a board game together, blow bubbles, sit in the backyard and stargaze together. Or, do what we just did! Have an ice cream float-making party! Set it all on the table and let them create their own.

I set out bowls of cotton candy and cherry flavor popping candy. I thought Cherry Orange Dreamsicle floats and Fluffy Root Beer floats would be so good, but they could make whatever float they wanted.

Here’s a quick little rundown for these two yummy flavors of Rockin Ice Cream Floats.

The Cherry Orange Dreamsicle is just to die for! I think it’s my new favorite float flavor. I just loved the popping candy in my float, and my kids did, too.
An ice cream float is one of the simple joys in life. I can still remember having them when I was a kid during the summer with my family. It was always exciting when we did something like that, and I want my kids to remember doing fun things like this together, too.

Molly chose to go a whole other way. She went with cotton candy popping candy and Dr Pepper® for her float.

Emma went with the Fluffy Root Beer version. It was definitely good to the last drop.

Ethan went for the Cherry Orange Dreamsicle float, just like his momma.

Then, my girls decided to have a contest on who had the loudest popping candy mouth after drinking some from their floats. I don’t think there was a clear winner, but they kept trying.

This is a great way to make summer exciting with something so easy. Making your own floats is a perfect activity and treat all in one for your summer entertaining!
