A Court of Thorns & Roses
In ACOTAR, before Calamai, Tamlin tells her to stay in her room and not leave under any circumstance. But, she leaves and is accosted by some Fae who try to fondle her. She’s then saved by an unnamed Fae, who ends up being Rhysand. In fact he says, “There you are, I was looking for you.” And that little quote has a whole other meaning than what we think in this book.
Soon after, Lucien finds her and is furious she’s there. He explains what the Great Rite is, and she finally agrees to return to her chambers. But she goes to the kitchen, assuming the ceremony is finished. However, on her way back to her room with some chocolate cookies, Tamlin corners her against a wall and bites her neck.
This is not my favorite book in the ACOTAR series, but it got me addicted. It’s a romance fantasy, but even men would love this story. I couldn’t put it down, and as soon as I was done with this one, I had to read the second one and on and on, until it’s all I did for two weeks. I love all things Sarah J Maas. I’ve now read every book she’s written.
These delicious treats were inspired by that event. My whole family loves these cookies so much because days after making them, they are still chewy and delicious.
