My teenager is currently addicted to McAlister’s Deli BLT+A sandwich. It’s a BLT with avocado and herbed mayonnaise. At $10 a meal, it gets expensive, so I decided to make my own herbed mayonnaise so she could make this sandwich at home, and it’s so easy.
Come back tomorrow for the recipe to make your own BLT+A sandwich. It’s super easy and delicious!

Surprisingly, you cannot find herbed mayonnaise at the grocery store. My guess is because it only lasts a few days with fresh herbs in it.

Ingredients to make Herbed Mayonnaise

- Mayonnaise
- Fresh Chopped Parsley
- Fresh Chopped Basil
- Fresh Chopped Oregano
- Minced Garlic
I like to buy Gourmet Garden chopped herbs. You can buy fresh bunches and chop them yourself, but I like the easy way. Plus, you can get a Gourmet Garden Italian Blend that has all these chopped herbs together.
How do you make Herbed Mayonnaise?
This is so easy. It will take you a minute to put together.
Combine the mayonnaise, herbs, and garlic and mix together.

Store in a sealed container in the fridge for up to 4 days.
How do you keep leftover herbed mayonnaise?
This is really important!
This mayonnaise with fresh herbs will only last a few days. This is why I make small batches of it.
I keep it in a small screw top plastic container in the fridge for just 4 days.
What can you put herbed mayonnaise on?
There are so many things you can use it with. My favorite is sandwiches, but here’s a few more:
- On sandwiches
- As a Dip
- Use instead of butter on a grilled cheese
- Spread on steaks, fish, or even chicken before cooking
- On burgers
- In place of mayonnaise in chicken or tuna salad
