I just love short cuts to making cute stuff. This recipe/how to is actually made with Twinkles. Yep, these mummies are actually Twinkies! No baking, just decorating! Since they are dipped in white chocolate, you can use any kind of Twinkies flavor you’d like.

These are just perfect for the kids to take to the school Halloween party. And, they would be a HUGE hit at the cake walk at the Halloween carnival. We have a carnival every year at school called the Monster Mash, and we have two kinds of cake walks. The big cake walk where you win an entire cake, and the little calk walk where you win a single treat like a cupcake or something small.
Now let’s get started!

Halloween Twinkie Mummies

Lay out wax paper on a cookie sheet. Then, unwrap the Twinkies and place them on the cookie sheet and set aside.

Melt the chocolate and then fully coat each Twinkie completely. Gently lift the Twinkie out with a fork.
Place the Twinkies onto the wax paper.
Place two eyes on each Twinkie. Place the cookie sheets in the fridge or freezer for 10-20 minutes.
While the Twinkies are hardening, scoop the rest of chocolate into a disposable piping bag or, if needed, a ziplock bag.
Cut the very tip of the bag so that only small lines of white chocolate will come out.
Remove the cookie sheet from the fridge. On each Twinkie, take the piping bag and drizzle back and forth with the chocolate to give the mummy the wrap effect.

Pop the Twinkies back in the fridge for 10-20 minutes to harden before wrapping up for a party or enjoying right on the spot!
