Ingredients to make Fiyero’s Feast Savory Hand Pies
I love to make different stews when it’s been as cold as it’s been here. One that is super easy to make is this Hearty Hamburger Stew, but no one eats the leftovers unless…I turn them into Hand Pies.
- 2-4 refrigerated pie crusts (depending on how much leftove stew you have).
- leftover Hamburger Stew
- 1 egg
How to make Fiyero’s Feast Pies

Set out the pie crusts.
Lay out a piece of parchment paper on a cookie sheet.
When they are no longer cold, unroll one pie crust and use a 4-inch circular cookie cutter to cut as many mini pie crusts as you can. I usually get about seven of them, so with two crusts, you can get about 14, which will make 7 pies.
Preheat the oven to 400 F degrees.
Take a heaping tablespoon of cold leftover hamburger stew and place it in the center of a mini pie.
Take a second mini pie crust and put it over the top.
Pinch the pie crusts together, crimping the edges.
Do this with each mini pie crust, until you’ve used up all the stew or all the pie crusts.
Take an egg, add a little water to it, and beat it, creating an egg wash.
Brush the top of each pie with egg wash.
Bake for about 15-20 minutes, until the pies are golden brown.
Serve warm.
How do you store leftover stew pies?
I keep them in a sealed container in the fridge for up to 5 days.
