Earlier this week I shared a fun Girls Night In gift basket idea that included a bottle of homemade Pomegranate Lemonade. Here’s that delicious recipe!
Lemonade in all its forms is one of my favorite beverages. I love all the flavored lemonades you can find from Blueberry Lemonade to Peach Lemonade. The only one I just don’t have a taste for is Mango Lemonade. I just do not like mango, and I hate that I don’t like it. Do you ever get mad at yourself when you don’t like a food? I am always amazed at the chefs on television who can taste and love anything.
This Pomegranate Lemonade is so easy to make. There’s no way I’m attempting to juice a pomegranate. That just sounds like a nightmare. You’ll need to purchase unsweetened Pomegranate juice. The brand I always find is Pom Wonderful. I usually buy the smallest bottle because you’ll only need 1 cup of the juice. Then, we’re going to cheat a little and make it easy.
Now for the lemonade. You have two choices. You can juice 8-9 lemons and make a simple syrup with sugar (or a sugar substitute like sucralose (Splenda) or stevia (like Truvia). Or you can cheat and just use a can of frozen lemonade. I’ve made it both ways, and both ways are delicious. I do like to make it with fresh lemons so that I can make it with a sugar substitute like Truvia. However, the easy method is in the recipe down below with instructions for the frozen lemonade version. You can even use frozen pink lemonade!
I found these awesome bottles at Ikea that are approximately 1 qt 1 pt size (about 6 cups), and I use them all the time to make flavored lemonades. This recipe will make about 2 bottles of Pomegranate Lemonade. I use a funnel and fill each bottle halfway, and then I fill it the rest of the way with water. Next, shake it up, and chill in the fridge until you’re ready to drink or give as a gift.
An easy lemonade recipe perfect for gift giving.
