This Leprechaun Bait is a super easy snack for the kids to help make. Kids love it and so do grown ups!
It’s perfect for March and St. Patrick’s Day, and it’s a great after school snack, too. My son takes it as a snack between classes at his university.

How do you make Leprechaun Bait Treats?
You can order special green and yellow only M&Ms online or at Party City, but I found the 19.3 oz bag at Walmart of regular M&Ms gives you about a cup of green and yellow M&Ms.
There are special edition Lucky Charms for St. Patrick’s Day, but the regular Lucky Charms work just as well for this recipe.
In a large bowl combine 3 cups Lucky Charms, 3 cups of Corn (or Rice) Chex cereal, 1 cup pretzels, 1 cup yellow and green M&Ms.
Mix up the mixture really well.
In a microwave-safe bowl add 12 oz of white melting chocolate and heat in 30-second increments in the microwave. Stir after each time, until the mixture is smooth and melted.
Drop several spoonsful of the melted chocolate all over the cereal mixture and then stir it up until it’s completely mixed in.
Get a cookie sheet and lay out a piece of wax paper.
Spread the cereal mixture over the wax paper.
Shake the gold and green sanding sugars over the top.
Allow it to dry for about an hour or so.
Break it up into pieces and serve.
How do you store leftovers?
Keep the leftovers in a sealed container for several days.
This is perfect for a movie-watching snack!
Make these into a treat for the kids with bag toppers!
