Can you believe school is almost out? It’s nearly summer time and that means travel time with family vacations and road trips. We head out on a family road trip every summer with the kids. Usually it’s somewhere around Texas, but this year, I think we’ll be headed out of state. We can’t wait!
When I was a kid, our yearly family vacation usually involved a road trip to some amazing place my mom had planned like the Grand Canyon or Hot Springs, Arkansas. I usually had on headphones listening to music, and my brother was usually tormenting all of us.
Nowadays road trips with kids are easier than ever. I’ve put together a guide for 10 Ways to Make Road Trips Fun for Kids with all kinds of ideas to make traveling with the kids stress free and fun from fun travel games to snack boxes the kids will love. These are all my tried and tested favorite things to keep my own kids busy when we’re traveling. If you’re traveling and headed out on a road trip this summer, make sure to check it out HERE!

As child we didn’t go that many places. I can recall my mom would play road games like how how many blue cars we could spot in a five miles.
