Having a kid Halloween party this year? Let them make their own treat with pudding snacks like these Zombie Pudding Cups!
My kids love Snack Pack pudding. It’s such an easy treat too. One thing they love is decorating it for the different holidays. I set out some fun themed candy, and they go to town. It’s a fun craft and snack all in one!
When I was grabbing some pudding, I also wandered down the Halloween aisle. I love all the fun Halloween stuff! I found a bag of candy made from body parts, like gummy fingers and feet and brains. I thought this would be a fun mix-in for the kids for Halloween.
You can make dirt very easily with OREO cookies. Just throw them in a food processor, creme and all, and puree for a minute or two until there are no big chunks.
How do the kids make their own Pudding Cups?
Have the supplies ready on the table for the kids to do themselves:
- plastic spoons
- pudding cups in vanilla and chocolate
- bowls of OREO “dirt”
- gummy body parts (fingers, eyes, hands, feet, and brains)
Let each kid get a couple scoops of OREO dirt to top off their pudding cup and then add different gummy candies to make Zombie Pudding Cups. Usually there’s gummy eyeballs, hands, feet, brains, and fingers.
You can check out three different versions we made:
The first one is made from chocolate pudding with cookie dirt on top. Then, we unwrapped five gummy fingers and placed them into the dirt like they were a hand trying to crawl out. I love this one. It looks totally creepy!
For this next one, we turned vanilla Snack Pack pudding into cookies-and-cream pudding by mixing in the cookie dirt with the pudding.
Then we dropped in three gummy eyeballs to create Eyeball Soup. We had to leave one on top so it can see you!
Lastly, we used gummy feet with chocolate pudding to create another undead pudding cup with the feet coming up from the grave.

What a cute and spooky but not scary Halloween treat. My boys would love these–both making them and eating them. Will definitely give them a try.
These are such cute pudding snacks to make. I love the idea of Zombie fingers for a Halloween snack like this. I love that the cleanup would be super easy at a party with these snacks.
That looks freaky but in a good way because there is oreos in it. For that, I wouldn’t mind indulging. Very creative.
These are so cute!! I would have never thought to do this, but it looks pretty simple.
