My littlest one is now 18 months old, and she is the most active baby I have ever had. My mom used to joke if my brother had been born first, I might not have existed. I can totally see myself saying that about my sweet girl.
I like to think that determination is what got her through all the hurtles and complications we had with me having an “older mom” pregnancy. I love her to pieces, but she keeps me on my toes.
When she turned a year old and especially when she started walking, I looked for toys that would keep her active AND safe. These are some of her favorite toys we have at home.
Duck Dive Water Table We keep this on the back patio, but when it’s bad weather, I put it in the kitchen on some towels, and she just goes to town.
Butterfly Crawl I love this because it’s so easy to put up and just hide behind the couch. When she’s getting into things she shouldn’t I pull it out, and she will spend an hour hiding in her tube.
Bouncy Horse I actually found one of these in the thrift store for cheap. I brought it home to surprise her. She loves to watch Sesame Street and bounce on her horsey. She also loves to sit in front of it and kiss it’s face.
Fairy Coupe Car This is going to be one of her Christmas presents. Each of my kids have had one of these and just loved it, and with a fairy theme, I could not pass it up.
Pirate Climber & Slide We have a fairly large living room, so our couch is actually sitting in the middle of the room. I put our slide/climber right behind it. It’s great to get out her wigglies. Lately, she loves hiding underneath with her mermaid baby.
Ball Fun Climber & Slide We have one of these outside near our swing set for the big kids. I just love the ball course on the side.
Lil Snoopy Dog Another toy we found at the thrift store. She loves to walk her little doggie since she’s too little to walk our big Boxer, Hank.
That’s Not My Dragon Book THESE! These are the best books. She loves to feel the textures as I read them. We have so many. All 4 of my kids have loved these books.
Cozy Grocery Cart There is just nothing better than walking all over the house collecting all kinds of things in your grocery cart.
Ride On Toy This is also a favorite to sit on when she wants to watch a tv show. Plus, the seat opens up for a secret hiding place — which usually is where I find the remote control.
Laugh & Learn Puppy We got this for her 1 yr birthday, but now at 18 months she LOVES this puppy. She kisses it and loves pushing the buttons.
That’s Not My Snowman Book I cannot tell you enough how much we love these books. I can always settle her down to read a couple of these with me.
