Our family had the chance to watch Sing 2 this weekend, and it was such a great family movie. We watched it at home, so I also whipped up some Movie Marshmallow Bars made with Rice Chex, marshmallows, and unicorn sprinkles mix inspired by the movie.

What’s the new movie Sing 2 about?
It’s coming to theaters on December 22, 2021!
This holiday season the new chapter in Illumination’s smash animated franchise arrives with big dreams and spectacular hit songs as the ever-optimistic koala, Buster Moon, and his all-star cast of performers prepare to launch their most dazzling stage extravaganza yet …all in the glittering entertainment capital of the world. There’s just one hitch: They first have to persuade the world’s most reclusive rock star—played by global music icon Bono, in his animated film debut—to join them.

What’s Sing 2 rated?
It’s a family movie rated PG.
What did we think of Sing 2?
We loved it! There was lots of music that everyone knew. It was engaging, funny, and heartwarming. It totally kept all of us engaged.
The ongoing theme in the movie was to keep going and triumph over your adversity, which is a great message for kids. It was fun and entertaining, and even at almost 2 hours, my kids enjoyed watching the whole thing, including my 4 year old.
There was one quick scary part where Buster might get thrown off the roof by the bad guy, but it’s over quickly. My sensitive kid did not seem to be scared by it.
Make sure to follow Sing 2 along on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram.
What do you need to make Movie Marshmallow Bars?
You’ll need Rice Chex, a bag of mini marshmallows, butter, and some funfetti or rainbow sprinkles.
How do you make Movie Marshmallow Bars?
Melt the butter in a large microwave safe bowl. Add the marshmallows to the bowl and coat them in the butter.
Microwave the marshmallows in 30-second increments, stirring after each time. Keep microwaving and stirring until the marshmallows are completely melted.
Add the Rice Chex into the marshmallows and give it a good mix a couple of times.
Then, add the sprinkles before continuing to mix until everything is incorporated together.
You can use a 9 x 13 pan for regular size bars or an 8 x 8 pan if you want thicker bars (that’s what I used). Make sure to spray the pan with non-stick oil spray before transferring the mixture to the pan.
Let it cool on the countertop or pop it in the fridge for 30 minutes to cool quickly.
Cut into squares and enjoy!
Can you make these Movie Marshmallow Bars ahead of time?
Yes, you can make them up a day or two ahead of time. Just keep them covered so they don’t get stale.
How do you store Movie Marshmallow Bars?
I cut them into squares and store them individually in ziplock bags. You can also keep them in a sealed container together.
