Do you ever wonder about all the safety features on your car? Do your kids? I know my kids love to learn about cool features that our cars can do.
This new app is called Dashboard Blitz. You run an auto expo where customers can try out new safety features on cars like blind spot monitoring or TPMS or automatic emergency braking. As you earn “stars,” you can buy upgrades like swag to keep customers happy and assistants to help you get feedback from customers and fix the cars. It can be a challenge to keep up with everything in the game and do it all within the allotted time without making customers angry. There were a few times I did not make my goal.
I was excited to try it out for both me and my kids to learn about what safety features are available now. Our cars are not the latest and greatest models, but they do have some of the features we learned about in the games like ABS brakes. We also have the tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) that lets me know when we our tires are under inflated or getting too low.
There are some amazing safety features we learned about in the game that I didn’t even know about like rear cross traffic alerts and adaptive cruise control. Did you know with adaptive cruise control your car not only keeps your speed, but it also monitors the car in front of you so you don’t get too close? I would have loved that one over this past week when we were taking a long road trip. I definitely need this in my next car.
With new levels you get new car safety features, and those new features require you to read the safety manual so you can answer customer questions. This is really educational because you’re learning about the latest car safety features as you read up to help customers in the game.
My son LOVED playing this game. In another year he’ll be a teenager, and he’s already interested in cars. His sister is currently working on getting her driver’s license, and he can’t wait to be next. This game made him want to know which of these safety features we had and how they work. I thought it was a great way to open the doors to learning more about safety and cars with kids. Plus, it’s a lot of fun!

I love apps that make learning fun and also makes the kids more aware of their surroundings. This is a great idea, it will keep them busy and teach them more about how to be safe in cars especially during road trips and long drives!
Well I think this app is perfect for teaching both kids and adults about car safety!
This is so nice. There are many reckless drivers today. Nice to know that this can be learn at a very young age.
Oooh this is just fantastic! Thank you for bringing this to my attention, the kids are going to love it!
Wow this app is amazing to give kids awareness of being safe while driving. I wish they had this when my kids were younger. But I will pass it to my family and friends with small children 🙂
Kids love to be on the phone in the car – so this is a great teaching tool!
This is an interesting concept. App developers really come up with clever ways to engage kids and adults alike.
This is SO COOL! I love that it helps keep kiddos and families safer, but in a fun way!
