We are a blended family. My two older children are not my husband’s biological kids, but you’d never know it. He’s helped me raise them since they were just 4 and 9 yrs old and has loved them unconditionally as his own since the beginning.
He fit into our family so easily, it’s hard to remember he hasn’t always been here. The kids don’t even remember our family without him. From the very beginning, he has been the anchor for both me and the kids.
We now are a family of 5 with our youngest, and he’s such a great dad. He is currently teaching my oldest daughter to drive a car. He loves to play video games with my middle son, and he tirelessly plays with our youngest daughter. I love to watch him play pretend with her. He’s such a good dad.
For Father’s Day, I want him to feel special, but it can be so hard to figure out what to get my husband. I have to admit he does a wonderful job for Mother’s Day with spa pedicures and cheesecake, so I want to make him feel special, too. I thought and thought and decided to get him a basket of things that he loves.
My first stop was to Macy’s at Golden Triangle Mall in Denton, TX and found the Nautica Voyage Gift Set. I thought it would be perfect to include in the basket. It smells great, and he loves to put something on after shaving.
If you need a quick gift, the Nautica Voyage Set comes in a lovely box that’s easy for gift giving. I decided to remove the products from the box and put them all in a gift basket with some other fun things.
For the rest of the Father’s Day Gift Basket, I put together a few things I know he loves.
- a new video game
- an iTunes card for new apps
- a new book about physics (his favorite topic)
- hot sauces because he loves to spice up his food
I can’t wait to give him his gift this coming weekend. I think he’s going to love it!

That is a great basket! I love this brand, my husband would enjoy it. I bet it smells nice.
What a great way to include all of his favorite things in one big gift basket. I am sure he’s going to love his basket!! I love reading about how fathers take that prime role in children’s lives even if they aren’t biologically theirs. That doesn’t matter! What matters is he is there for them, like they are his own <3
What a great way to show him just want a great dad he is and how much he’s appreciated. What dad wouldn’t love a new game and an iTunes gift card?! <3
What an awesome basket. My husband would love that.
I love the fact that you picked so many different things that he would enjoy :-). My husband really is the anchor in our family too – he’s always there for us. Right now he’s spending two nights a week sitting at the airport while our oldest does his pilot’s license training. It’s got to be boring for him, but I love that he’s happy to do it anyway!
What a great Father’s Day idea!! Hubby would definitely love it if my daughter and I got him some naitica! He’s been a fan of the brand for years
This looks like such a great gift idea for dads. I’ve gotta go get that scent for hubby as I’ve heard really good things about it 🙂
You did real well on getting that basket together. I am sure we will not only love it but it will something that is truly appreciated. Lots of nice things in there.
Great idea! This year one of the kids picked out a bait bucket to put a few things in for my husband. We still have other stuff to buy and make out a gift basket is a great idea.
What a great gift! I just got back from E3 and saw a ton of goodies for next year’s father’s day 🙂
I love this Fathers Day gift basket!! Nautica you can never go wrong with their scents!
This is such a cool gift basket…I never think to do a gift basket for my dad or my husband! Thanks for the idea!
My basket would totally have Nautica and the hot sauces too! Hope you have a wonderful celebration
That is such a lovely Father’s Day gift basket, I am sure his gonna love it as you have included only things he loves.
This is a great Father’s Day basket. I always struggle to find things to put together but these are all perfect.
I love the idea of gift baskets. I tend to do them for most birthdays and holidays. You can collect stuff all year in a box as you find it on sale and then just put it in a nice basket with a ribbon. My kids love it. It’s also how they get enormous care packages at college!
It sounds like your husband is a great guy! I hope he really enjoyed his Father’s Day gift basket! #client
