This post is brought to you by Atmos Flare 3D and The Women Bloggers. All opinions are my own.
Recently, I was given the chance to try the Atmos Flare 3D pen with my kids. My 12-year-old son has been dying to get his hands on a 3D pen. He was so excited to try this one out. We had seen commercials on television, but we had never experienced one ourselves.
He was able to put it together fairly quickly. It has easy to follow instructions for putting it together. It comes with two colors of ink, red and blue, as well as several tips. It was such a nice touch that they include the battery as well. How many times do you forget a new toy needs batteries, and you don’t have any?
There are tutorials available. I watched them, but my son just wanted to try it out himself without any help. It took him some practice, but within about 30 minutes, he was making cubes and spelling 3D words like “hello.”
He did enjoy just doodling with it, as did I. It’s kind of relaxing to play with it and create things. As you draw, there is a UV light that hardens the material.
His sister is 17 years old. She is my artist, and she had a much easier time. In about 5 minutes, she was making little people and trees and writing her name. She didn’t struggle with it like my 12 year old. The box recommends ages 14 and up, and I do think that’s accurate.
This would make a great gift for the teenager you never know what to give. It’s available at Amazon and other retailers. You can even find other ink colors and refills there as well.
You can visit the Atmos Flare 3D website to learn more about it.
What would you draw with a 3D pen?
