I’m terrible at remembering to have appetizers. When we have a get together, I’m good at planning the meal and desserts, but I always forget about the appetizers. That’s one of the things I love about going to my parents’ house or when we went to my grandma’s when I was a kid during the holidays. My grandma would put out a relish tray with little snacks including pickles and olives. My mom always makes her famous cheese ball surrounded in crackers.

Four Easy Cracker Toppings
I decided to solve this problem for good, and I came up with four easy cracker toppings with ingredients I mostly keep on hand. This way I can makes these snacks in a flash for holiday parties or an unexpected get together. These came out so good, I’ve even been making them for snack time. They’re so simple, but so delicious. Here’s what I came up with:
- Sun Dried Caprese Crackers – This delicious snack has sun dried tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, and a balsamic glaze. This one is my fave!
- Pimento Cheese Crackers – These crackers are easily made from store bought (or homemade) pimento cheese and topped with a sliver of celery.
- Salami & Muenster Crackers – This is a hearty cracker with thick slices of salami and muenster cheese.
- Strawberry & Cream Cheese Crackers – This makes a great sweet treat! It’s whipped cream cheese and sweetened strawberries.
Triscuit Crackers
Triscuit crackers are my main go-to crackers for making these quick and easy appetizers. I can always find them at Walmart.
Triscuit crackers come in a variety of different and delicious flavors that pair well with different toppings. My favorites are Original, Roasted Garlic, and Fire Roasted Tomato & Olive Oil. My Sun Dried Caprese topping is my favorite and really good on all three of these flavors.
Lately, when I want something sweet, my go-to snack is the Strawberries & Cream Cheese topping on the Original Triscuit crackers. Not only are they great for a snack, but they also are perfect for a quick little dessert, too. It’s so satisfying to pop one of those in your mouth!

Ingredients
Sun Dried Caprese Crackers
- Fire Roasted Tomato & Olive Oil Triscuit crackers
- fresh mozzarella pearls
- julienned sun dried tomatoes
- basil
- balsamic glaze
Pimento Cheese Crackers
- Original Triscuit crackers
- pimento cheese
- thinly sliced celery
Salami & Muenster Crackers
- Fire Roasted Tomato & Olive Oil Triscuit crackers
- thin slices of muenster cheese
- sliced salami
Strawberry & Cream Cheese Crackers
- Original Triscuit crackers
- frozen sliced strawberries
- whipped cream cheese
Instructions
Sun Dried Caprese Crackers
- Lay out several Fire Roasted Tomato & Olive Oil Triscuit crackers.
- Add 3-4 fresh mozzarella pearls on top of each cracker.
- Sprinkle a dash of chopped fresh basil.
- Top the basil and cheese with julienned sun dried tomatoes.
- Drizzle each cracker with balsamic glaze.
Pimento Cheese Crackers
- Lay out several Original Triscuit crackers.
- Top each cracker with pimento cheese.
- Thinly slice celery and top the pimento cheese with a slice.
Salami & Muenster Crackers
- Lay out several Fire Roasted Tomato & Olive Oil Triscuit crackers.
- Take big slices of muenster cheese and cut them in half.
- Fold over each muenster cheese half and top with a slice of salami
Strawberry & Cream Cheese Crackers
- Allow the frozen sliced strawberries to thaw in the fridge (or microwave if you’re short on time).
- Lay out several Original Triscuit crackers.
- Smear each cracker with whipped cream cheese.
- Using a slotted spoon, add a strawberry to each cracker (to avoid adding too much liquid).
