This is a sponsored post on behalf of Emma in the Night. All opinions are my own.
One of my favorite guilty pleasures is snuggling up to read a good thriller. I just love to relax with a good book, especially one that keeps me guessing until the end just makes it all the better. Emma in the Night is just that kind of book.
Three years ago Emma and her sister Cass disappear in the night and no one knows where they went or what happened. Then, Cass shows up at her home and begs for them to “Find Emma!” and her story begins.
Another guilty pleasure is sipping on a mug of Dulce de Leche Coffee while reading a good book.
I just add about a teaspoon of dulce de leche syrup to the mug before adding some steaming hot coffee.
Then mix it up until the dulce de leche is completely mixed into the coffee.
I fill my mug to the top with half and half or cream and then I sit down with a wonderfully thrilling new novel to indulge in.
I just sat down with a cup of my Dulce de Leche Coffee and my new favorite thriller — Emma in the Night by the bestselling author Wendy Walker.
The story is told in alternating chapters of Cass and the psychologist, Dr. Abby Winter, from the FBI. This was one part I felt was a bit disjointed because Cass’s chapters are in first person and Dr. Winter’s chapters are in third person. It gets a little more difficult when the last chapter alternates between the two of them within it.
Other than that one issue, I loved the story. It’s told in the past and present and delves into the issue of having a pathological narcissistic parent and what that does to their children. As Cass tells her story to help the FBI find her sister, I could not help guessing one way or the another of who really was involved. There are so many twists and turns as the story plays out, so I could not put this books down. I could not wait to see where it was all leading.
I just love it when the ending is a surprise. And it’s just icing on the cake when there is even more to the ending you didn’t even consider. I don’t want to say more because I don’t want to give it away. Needless to say, if thrillers that keep you guessing are your favorite, you’ll love this one. Check out Emma in the Night by Wendy Walker.

I loved this book! I received my copy through SheSpeaks as well. I rarely give 5/5 stars to books I review, but I gave this one 5/5 :).
That looks incredible! I love a good book with a coffee or a tea.
