Dollar Tree is one of my favorite places to shop. I can stock up on so many things we use every day. And, I love the holiday supplies they always have. Christmas is one of the best times to head to Dollar Tree for all the craft items they have available. I just whipped up this wreath for only $6 in supplies!
I only needed 6 items from Dollar Tree to make this entire wreath! It’s so easy, and you can easily whip this up in less than 30 minutes. Here’s how to make this adorable Christmas Snow Globe Wreath:
Table of Contents
Christmas Snow Globe Wreath
Supplies:
- Christmas Pine Wire Wreath
- Parachuting Snowman Toy
- Faux Snow
- Christmas Bulbs light up necklace
- Make your own snow globe
- Red burlap ribbon
Directions:
Before I started, I took the wreath and extended all the branches out to look as full as possible.
Next I got a parachuting snowman and removed his parachute. I also cut off the little rings on his hands holding the parachute. Next I pulled out the insert for the snow globe and hot glued the snowman to it.
Then I added the fake snow to the globe and put it all back together.
If you feel around the wreath you’ll feel one section that’s a little thicker where the wreath is put together. I made this my center bottom and hot glued the snow globe there.
Next I created a bow. Here are the lengths I cut:
- 2 pieces 25 inches long.
- 1 piece 5 inches long.
- 1 piece 20 inches long.
Fold over the two 25-inch pieces like the picture. Then, lay one on top of the other and pinch them together in the center to form a bow. Add some hot glue to keep them together like this. Take the 5-inch piece and add a line of hot glue down the middle and fold it in half lengthwise. Then wrap it around the bow and hot glue to the back.
Hot glue the bow to the front of the wreath just below the snow globe. It helps hide the lid to the snow globe.
Take the 20 inch piece of ribbon and fold it on a diagonal and add hot glue so the two raw edges hand down like a V shape.
Snip off the raw edges in a V to finish it off. Then hot glue it behind the bow.
Next take the Christmas lights necklace lay it out around the wreath. You can easily hide the switch under the bow in the back. Make sure to hot glue it with the button easy to reach.
Then lay the lights around the rest of the wreath. Add a drop of hot glue behind each Christmas light and stick them to the branches.
Tie a piece of ribbon at the top so you can hang it anywhere.

Oh this is so adorable!! We are spending Christmas in a cabin this year and the only rule is we have to make our decorations while we are there. This would be perfect for my kids!

Oh my goodness – I am obsessed! This came out really well. I love the DIY snowglobe!
What a great and inexpensive craft. I love it!! I love going to the dollar tree during the holiday season with the kids to get supplies to do crafts like this. We will definitely have to try this one out! As a side note, I noticed you are a mom of kids 0-17. I am about to have my 6th in a few weeks and my kids, too, will range in age from 0-17. Nice to see another mom with kids of such a wide age span.
Firstly, I am just excited that you have just taught me how to make a globe snowman!! I am going to have a lovely time teaching this to my kids and then we can dig in and make this wreath which is so simple and so cheap!
