The easy part of blogging is writing the posts. I know that can sound crazy because it can be pretty hard to do, but it’s true. The hard part is getting people to come see that amazing post you just wrote.
It can feel like such an uphill battle. There have been many times I think I have an amazing idea, and I can’t wait to share it with the world through my blogging. I hope and pray it’s going to go viral (and I’ve been lucky enough to have a few viral posts), but if I don’t push that post and promote it, it’s most likely not going to pick up steam on it’s own.

Be a Rock Star
Through my journey as a blogger, I’ve discovered more and more ways of promoting blog posts. It’s something I’ve become really good at doing.
It feels amazing when I’ve had PR reps tell me I’m a rock star at promotion. Many times campaign managers have come to me to do a last minute sponsored post and have said straight up they don’t care if I stick to the requirements for promoting it — they just want me to do my “magic.”
What are Daily Chore Threads?
It does feel good to be told these things. But, this is one part of blogging that can feel not so fun because you have to be tenacious and steadfast in promoting. This is why it’s good to keep a schedule in front of you to keep of track of where you are promoting because you need to stay on top of it for days and weeks, sometimes as long as the campaign lasts. Campaign managers, brands, and PR reps are depending on you to get that post moving.
There are virtual assistants who will gladly take these chores for you. But, when you’re just starting out, it can get expensive.
Favorite Blogging Facebook Groups
Part of that promotion is using social media chore threads. I use various Facebook groups for daily chore threads. You leave your link and then retweet, like, share, etc. everyone else’s link. It’s a great way to get new eyes from other bloggers’ followers onto your things. This is how I’ve gone viral a few times.

I usually participate in 2-3 a day, and I usually narrow down to threads I think do the most good such as retweets, facebook, pinterest, etc. Then, I keep a daily list of which group and which threads, so I can check them off and finish by the due date required in each group.
When you join a group, make sure you familiarize yourself with their rules. Each group has definitely rules that require you to tag someone or add your social media handle that will be reciprocating, etc.
