We’ve entered Week 3 with the plan from Always Eat After 7 PM: The Revolutionary Rule- Breaking Diet That Lets You Enjoy Huge Dinners, Desserts, and Indulgent Snacks—While Burning Fat Overnight by Joel Marion. In my experience, this really feels like the diet for me. Read my first post and second post in this series.

Updates on My Goals
Originally, when I wrote my first post, my main goal was to get more energy to chase my 3 year old. I have definitely felt more energy. I’m less tired. I sleep at night and am not an insomniac. Before this, there were times I was just exhausted for no reason. My 3 year old would want to play, and I couldn’t get myself off the couch. I don’t feel that way anymore.
Plus, I just don’t feel bad about wanting to eat night. As long as I can remember, I’ve always been told it was bad to eat at night, and it gave me a lot of guilt when I was feeling so hungry.
According to Always Eat After 7 PM plan, the most challenging times to curb hunger are just before bed and in the morning. By following the Always Eat After 7PM program, you have the most willpower to stay on the diet because you are eating during the hours when you are most hungry. This is so true of me. I have no willpower when I’m constantly hungry.
What I’m Loving About this Plan
Joel gives so many easy snack ideas as well as 3-minute fat-burning morning rituals. My favorite is so simple, and it’s something I already love drinking. It’s Lemon Water with a glass of water mixed with the juice of one half of a lemon.
I love drinking it with really cold water from the fridge. It just feels invigorating. This drink provides all the benefits of regular drinking water, which supports weight loss, digestive health, physical performance, and cognitive function.
There are quite a few recipes in the book! Some are a bit fancy for my taste, but there’s easy ones as well like chili baked potatoes, pot roast, spaghetti with zoodles, and even instant pot recipes!
This is probably the easiest diet I’ve found to keep going and make it our way of eating. The foods are accessible and things I like to eat. My kids have loved some of the recipes we’ve tried from the book like the desserts.
- Fruit Tarts
- Cherry Garcia Ice Cream
- No Bake Salted Caramel Bars
There’s even easy guidelines and suggestions for eating out so you can actually feel successful about sticking to the plan even if getting take out.
