Do you ever get to the afternoon and realize you have no idea what you’re going to make for dinner? Nothing is defrosted or prepared? I have been there so many times, and I just get so annoyed with myself when we go out to eat. It’s really important to me that my family eat a quality home-cooked meal as often as possible and not fast food.
This is why I like to keep certain foods on hand, so I’m always prepared. One of our favorites is Michael Angelo’s Italian meals. You can find them in the frozen aisle at stores like Walmart, Kroger, and Publix.
You can cook them in the microwave or oven and have dinner from freezer to the table in less than an hour! My kids just love when I serve Michael Angelo’s Lasagna with Meat Sauce. My 6-year-old even sets the table without asking when she knows lasagna is for dinner.
Michael Angelo’s lasagnas are made from real ingredients with no preservatives and all natural ingredients, so not only does your meal taste like your grandmother’s lasagna, it’s made with ingredients she would choose as well. I feel good about serving these meals to my family.
Michael Angelo’s is the perfect alternative for those busy nights when you have school functions or you just need a break from cooking. And, it tastes like it came straight from your own kitchen. Did you know Michael Angelo and his mom Sara created these meals using real ingredients that you can read and understand right on the label?
For busy nights, I like to keep meals like Michael Angelo’s as well as sides like frozen veggies I can steam right in the bags such as:
- broccoli florets
- cauliflower
- brussel sprouts
- peas
- carrots
- corn
While it’s all cooking, I prepare a salad and homemade garlic bread. Did you know a lot of Europeans just keep butter on the counter top at all times? I started doing that a year ago, just keeping a stick of butter in a butter dish on the counter. It stays soft and doesn’t go bad. It makes homemade garlic bread so easy to make. I just buy the fresh baked bread in the bakery at the grocery store and then butter it and shake on dried minced garlic and Parmesan cheese.

These are a few of our favorite meals from Michael Angelo’s that I like to keep on hand:
Michael Angelo’s Eggplant Parmesan
Made with fresh eggplant, lightly breaded, the right amount of Mom’s tomato sauce – made from hand selected, vine-ripened tomatoes – and topped with Mozzarella. Then sprinkled with a blend of imported cheeses – Parmigiano Reggiano & Pecorino Romano – to complete the dish
Michael Angelo’s Shrimp Scampi
Made with linguini pasta, cooked al dente, and add plump, tender shrimp to our perfectly blended sauce made from lemon butter, and freshly diced garlic. It is then topped with diced tomatoes and garnished with a little parsley
Michael Angelo’s Lasagna with Meat Sauce
Made with fresh beef, vine-ripened tomatoes and fresh herbs that are sautéed and layered with firm 100% semolina lasagna and topped with imported Pecorino Romano cheese from the old country.
