Now that my son is almost a teen, he’s past the toy stage (though he does enjoy playing with his sister’s toys). With tween and teen boys, Christmas and birthdays can be a challenge. Â But, I’ve made it a little easy for you.
These are gift ideas that my son loves. Â He’s a musician, and he loves games, comic book heroes, Dr. Who, and more. Â I’ve put a collection together of some things Santa might even be bringing him this year.
We don’t allow him to play any M rated games, which drives him a little crazy.  So  you can imagine how excited he was to see Destiny was rated T.  This is the latest one and is for XBOX ONE, XBOX 360, PS4, and PS3.
My husband and a couple of his friends have made my son just love the creativity of Dungeons & Dragons. Â They play the games, and my son just can’t quit talking about how he gets to create a story that involves magic, swords, monsters, and more.
My mother gave this blanket to my son for his birthday this year. Â He is a Dr. Who fanatic, and this is probably his favorite thing he has from the show. Â Here is another Dr. Who blanket that I love as well.
CW’s The Flash is probably my son’s favorite tv show ever. Â He gets so excited when there’s a new episode every week. Â He loves telling me all about the storyline and the parallel universe in the show. Â I found this jacket, which is based on the costume the character wears in the show and just had to order it.
Do you have a guitar player or one who wants to learn? This is a bluetooth wireless guitar with apps that can help you learn to play or create all kinds of music.
This is the hot gift this season! Â My neighbors just got one, and now my son cannot wait to get his hands on one. Â It does look like such fun!
My son has been begging for bluetooth ear buds for awhile. When I was shopping for the perfect pair, I found these. Â I love the way you can fit the ends together and wear it like a necklace. Â Everyone is getting a pair from Santa this year.
Who doesn’t love movies? Â My son has just started going with friends to do things together. And, he always wants to see the latest movie, so this is the perfect gift for him.
This is another game we personally own, and my son loves it. Whenever we’re deciding what to play for family game night, this is always his first choice. Â It’s a cooperative game in which you all work together to prevent pandemics from breaking out. Â It’s a lot of fun and fast paced. Â There’s even expansion sets to add to the jobs and things you can do.
This is an awesome robot you can build yourself! Â Every summer my son spends a week at a Lego robotics camp where he learns to program and make robots do all kinds of things. Â I have wanted to continue his learning at home, and this is the robot to do just that.
I just love The Oatmeal This is another gift he’ll be getting this Christmas. Â He loves these kind of twisted games for our family game night.
I cannot live without Amazon Prime. Not only do I get to stream a ton of shows for free, but free 2-day shipping is a life saver. I have something ordered from Amazon at least once a week. You can get a free trial to check it out. Just click the banner above!

My grandson is 11 going on 30 and these would all be perfect gifts for him. That Hoverboard looks like loads of fun. Amazon Prime is my go-to for just about all of my Christmas shopping.
This is a great list of gift ideas for boys. I have a few boys to shop for and you’ve given me so many ideas. Love that drone as a gift for a boy!
This is a great list for tween boys. I don’t have any to shop for, but I like all the items listed.
Oh yes! That hoverboard is all the rage. It’s a hot gift item this year for sure!
The hoverboard looks like fun. I bet my son and nephew would get a kick out of riding on it.
What a great list of awesome gift ideas, I do not any kids but I know my brother would love the Bluetooth ear buds I know I certainly would
Thankfully toys are still all the rage here with my three and six year old, but I know the teen years will be here soon and gaming will be the big thing. Thanks for the tips!
The flash outfit would be such a cool gift. The hoverboard would also be a really great gift.
Our daughter would adore the Dr. Who fuzzy blanket. It took her awhile to give in and start watching, but now she is completely taken with the show and culture.
Oh, my nephew (and my husband) would LOVE to get their hands on a hoverboard! We just saw someone crossing a huge parking lot on one yesterday…with a coffee in hand. lol 🙂

So many create gift ideas! I really like the Lego Mindstorms and Pandemic. My nephew would love the Hoverboard and the Flash Hoodie for sure!
Awesome gift ideas! The hoverboard looks SWEET!!! I want one for myself.
Tween boys are the hardest group to buy for, I think. I could get on the hoverboard bandwagon. seriously!!!
The jamstik+ looks very cool! It would be great for figuring out if your tween is serious about actually learning the instrument. Tweens can be so helpful but this gift guide is very helpful!
