Do you like to send little notes in your kids’ lunches? I do. I even put them in my teenager’s lunch and my husband’s lunch. Sometimes I just like to give them a giggle with a silly joke. Maybe they need a pick me up when they are super nervous, especially at the beginning of a new school year.
I got the fun idea to make some printable punch out lunch notes and stick one right on top of their applesauce. All three of my kids love Mott’s® Applesauce. I always make sure to include it in their lunch nearly every single day, and it’s the perfect place to attach a little note from Mom.
Do your kids love Mott’s® Applesauce and Apple Juice? I found mine on sale at Dollar General. Now through August 23 you can get more snacks for your money with Mott’s® Apple Juice for $2.00 and Mott’s® Applesauce for $2.25. When you go, make sure to look for the Back to School display!
I printed up some 3-inch-sized circles of jokes, riddles, and a few love notes from Mom. Then, I got my giant hole puncher, and punched them out into a stack.
I used a glue stick to easily attach them to the tops of each applesauce container.
I even included a little blank one so you can write your own note to your kids!
It’s a sweet surprise your kids will love to share with their friends. If they’re new at school, it might be an easy ice breaker to share with the kids around them at lunchtime.
You can download your own copy of these fun lunch box printables HERE.

This is such a cute idea! My toddler is not in school yet, but this gives me an idea how I will prepare her lunch-box when it’s time for her to go to school. I like the idea of sending my daughter to school and she will find a fun and encouraging message in her lunch-box. That will surely brighten her day.

Sometimes, I would draw cool art on the Ziploc baggies of my nephew’s lunch items whenever I got a chance. He really got a kick out of it. I think the ‘Some – Bunny loves You’ printable is incredibly adorable!
