Easy Snack Ideas for the Big Game
I love to make a big spread for game day. When we’re getting the food, we also pick up football-themed plates and napkins. When it’s time to make our spread, I just use a piece of green fleece on the table. It’s cheap and durable, and it’s washable and reusable!
This year’s theme is going to be chicken with our favorite Tyson products. Besides Chicken Meatball Sliders we’ll be having Tyson® Crispy Chicken Strips, Tyson® Any’tizers® snacks like Popcorn Chicken and Honey BBQ Boneless Chicken Bites, and Aidells Chicken Meatballs in Teriyaki and Pineapple on a stick. I’m also including celery, chips and dips, and a meat and cheese tray for sandwiches. There should be something for everybody to enjoy.
Why do I love Tyson Products?
They make it so easy to prepare foods for game day. Tyson Crispy Chicken Strips are all white meat and better than ever because they’re now even crispier!
Another big favorite here are the Tyson Any’tizers® snacks. They’re all white meat chicken, and there are just so many varieties of flavors and sauces from Popcorn Chicken to Honey BBQ Boneless Chicken Bites and more! Our new favorite is Aidells meatballs. We just love the unexpected flavors like Teriyaki and Pineapple. Plus, they’re precooked! You just need to heat and eat!
How do you make Chicken Meatball Sliders?
Make these open-faced Chicken Meatball Sliders for an easy game day snack!
- 12 Aidells Chicken Meatballs in Teriyaki and Pineapple flavor
- 1 package of 12 Hawaiian-style rolls
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1 tablespoon Parmesan cheese
- 4 slices of Provolone cheese, cut into 3rds
- 1/4 cup finely shredded mozzarella cheese
Preheat oven to 350 F degrees.
Lay parchment paper or foil on a cookie sheet.
Lay the rolls on the foil.
Use a spoon and remove the very top middle of each roll, like shown.
Take the 1/3 slice of Provolone cheese and insert one inside each roll.
In a microwave-safe bowl combine all the meatballs with the 1 cup of marinara suce.
Heat for 3 minutes in the microwave.
Give the meatballs a stir in the sauce.
Spoon a meatball into the center of each roll.
Add a little extra marinara sauce over the top of each roll.
Sprinkle with shredded mozzarella cheese.
Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
Bake for 10-15 minutes until the rolls are a little crispy and the cheese is melted.
You don't need to use Hawaiian rolls specifically, but they go really well Aidells® Chicken Meatballs in Teriyaki and Pineapple flavor. I think the flavor is perfect for sliders, but you can use regular dinner rolls.
