We’re starting a new weekly series at the end of each week — The Weekly Feast. I’m going to be sharing some of my friends’ wonderful recipes, recipes i’m dying to make, and maybe even some of my own.
I just love these, and I cannot wait to make them. I’m thinking this might be something fun to whip up on Sunday – New York Bakery Style Crumb Buns from Bunny’s Warm Oven. You have to check these out. They’re kind of like cinnamon rolls, but not really. I just love how fluffy they look.
My mouth is watering just looking at this Mongolian Beef Cheesesteak Sandwich from Flavor Mosaic. I cook stir fry and Mongolian beef quite often, especially for my husband and I when the kids are gone. It’s one of our favorites. Usually we eat our mongolian beef in Moo Shu pancakes. But, turning it into a cheesesteak sandwich is such a great twist! I think even my son, who loves pepper jack cheese would really enjoy this.
Until last year, I’ve never been a big fan of pork chops. Then, my husband started brining them in apple cider vinegar. It makes them so delicious and tender. You can cut it with a fork. When I saw this recipe for Pork Chops with Cider Pan Sauce from Healthy Delicious, I can’t wait to try it with the pan cider sauce. It sounds just heavenly!
I love comfort food, especially after everyone’s had such a hard day. This chicken pot pie from Wine Lady Cooks made me instantly think of that – all yummy and belly filing. I love that she talks about using leftover chicken soup. I make a chicken soup that would be perfect for this dish. And, to make it even easier, just use refrigerated biscuit dough for the top crust.
After all that, for dessert, you can have some Blueberry Cheesecake from me! This dessert is super easy to make, and it will melt in your mouth. I have never made cheesecake in my life, and it came out just perfect!
Check back next week for some delicious goodies! I just pulled a pie out of the oven that I can’t wait to share. Think cream cheese and bursting with all kinds of berries!
