I know we all worry that we don’t spend enough time with our kids. I make a priority to have dinner together nearly every night, and at least once on the weekend, we sit down to breakfast as a family, too. We also love to have a family game night.
But…what if you switch it up and instead of having family game night, have a Family Game Morning over breakfast on Saturday mornings? It’s what we’ve been doing, and it’s so much fun for all of us! We have some of our favorite General Mills cereals like Cinnamon Toast Crunch and Cookie Crisp, and mom and dad learn to play the new Skylanders® Battlecast!
Have you heard about the newest Skylanders® game? Skylanders® Battlecast is the latest game from the Skylanders franchise, but it’s mobile! You can play it on your phone with these fun mobile trading cards.
The cards are both digital and real cards that you use to build your deck and create the ultimate team to fight in online battles. Scan the physical cards into your phone to add them to your deck in the game.
Guess what? You can find Battlecast cards in specially marked boxes of General Mills Cereal — but hurry, it’s only through September 2016! Look for these cereals with the special label:
- Cinnamon Toast Crunch
- Cookie Crisp
- Golden Grahams
- Honey Nut Cheerios
- Reese’s Puffs
Each box of cereal contains a pack of 3 free Battlecast cards. Plus, for a limited time, there’s one exclusive character card inside every participating box of cereal you can’t find anywhere else! They are: Sonic Boom, Trigger Happy, Prism Break and Hot Head.
Would you like to learn all about it before you go head to head with the kids? I got you covered! Watch this video, and you’ll know exactly how to play. It’s really easy!
Doesn’t this look like fun? My kids and I just love it! Learn more about General Mills cereals and Skylanders Battlecast to see if this is something your family would enjoy!

Totally cool idea. We’ve done family game nights but never game mornings. What a great way to get bonding and starting a wonderful tradition. Love the idea.
