In this house, we love cereal, and we definitely don’t just eat it for breakfast. Cereal makes the perfect #GoodNightSnack! When the kids are hungry before bedtime, I usually offer cereal, and Kellogg’s brands are some of their favorites. My youngest loves Froot Loops, and my older two always choose Frosted Flakes.
Sometimes when the kids are off to bed, I head to the kitchen and get a bowl of cereal for myself. It’s one of the few times I can sit back, relax, and read a book as I snack. I even eat it late at night like popcorn when I’m watching a movie.
Did you know? Right now you can find specially marked Kellogg’s cereals — Froot Loops, Frosted Flakes, Corn Pops, and Apple Jacks – for the new Disney Planes Fire & Rescue movie. You just enter the code from the specially marked boxes online and get $20 worth of coupons!
We decided to have a kid movie night and watch the first Disney Planes movie before we go see the new one next week. (July 18th – we can’t wait!!) When we were grocery shopping at Walmart, I had the kids pick their favorite Kellogg’s cereal to make some “In Flight Snacks” for movie time! We found a big pallet right in front of the DVDs full of the Nighttime Snacking Kellogg’s cereals.
After lunch, I whipped up a cute little printable bag topper for our movie snack. Then, the kids all helped me prepare our snacks for movie watching time. My teenage daughter helped me decorate cups with loopy looping planes using markers for our drinks. My son was in charge of adding the bag toppers and straws.
My 4 yr old was in charge of preparing the cereal. We poured up three different cereals into the ziplocks for variety – Frosted Flakes, Krave, and Crispix. Sweet, choclatel-y, and crunchy! It’s so much better than cookies, candy, or popcorn!

Super cute movie night idea! We loved Planes.
How adorable! I especially love the bag of snacks with the paper label that you made and attached. That is such an awesome idea. I need to try this for my son’s preschool class.
What a fun way to theme your snack around the movie! “In Flight Snack” – I love it!
I can totally see these as great snacks for an actual plane ride too! Cute tags.
Oh how adorable! Pinning!
I adore the in-flight snack bags… such a great idea. I wish my kids were younger so I could do this. The cups with the planes on it are so so cute too. #client
