Thanks to Zevia for providing free products for this post! All opinions are my own.
Two of my three kids are out for the summer. My poor 5th grader has to go until Thursday. He’s the middle kid so he already feels like he never gets anything. This is just totally unfair, so yesterday I tried to whip up a drink he’d love.
Zevia is naturally sweetened, zero calorie soda in 15 delicious flavors! They’ve asked me to put a fresh spin on my old routine in a honor of Spring! I thought a skinny ice cream float might do the trick. I’m calling it a Ginger Root Puff because as you’re adding the Ginger Root Beer it puffs way up at the top!
This is a fun little drink you and your kids will love. It actually doesn’t have ice cream in it. It’s just a couple tablespoons of whipping cream, crushed ice, and Zevia Ginger Root Beer. It tastes like a cloud!
I’ve found if you add the whipping cream first, as you’re adding the Ginger Root Beer it floats up into a much prettier cloud on the top., so that’s what I like to do.
Then, I add crushed ice, usually about 1/2 the glass is crushed ice.
Now it’s time to add the Ginger Root Beer. Slowly pour it because if you go to fast, it creates that big foam cap (or cloud as we like to call it) that will overflow. Then, add a straw and it’s ready to drink!
