Molly and I have been patiently waiting for the new Disney FROZEN movie for a few weeks now. We’ve watched the previews and can’t wait for Thanksgiving Day! One of our traditions is going to a family movie on Thanksgiving night. I can’t wait! Can you?
After checking out the new FROZEN movie merchandise from Walmart.com, I loved the sheets and comforter. I thought this might be the perfect time to transition Molly to her big girl bed with new bedding to go along with the new movie. She’s a tiny 3 year old and fits just fine in her crib. But, lately, it’s been very important to be a big girl to her, so I think she’s ready for the move. She was very excited when I told her the plan, especially that in a few short days we could go see the movie, too.
A few days later, her new bedding arrived, so we went to Walmart to finish off her FROZEN bedroom with some new “big girl” toys and a book for bedtime. After looking over all the toys, she chose the Swirling Snow Sled and the Complete Small Doll Set. She’s really into “little” toys lately, so this was perfect! She loves that she can take Olaf the Snowman apart and that he fits in her pocket. Her absolute favorite is Sven, the reindeer. She has been taking him everywhere. She also likes to put him in front of the sled to pull Elsa and Anna for a ride.
Finally, it was time for bed. We pulled out her new sheets and comforter and got everything ready for her first night in her big girl bed. The sheets are microfiber and super soft. I love how silky they feel. Molly was excited and quickly changed into her pajamas and climbed in with her new FROZEN book and toys.
She played for awhile with her new toys. Then, it was time for Mommy to read her the story. We read a story most nights. When I found this book at Walmart, I thought it was great because it has both Elsa’s and Anna’s stories — you just flip the book over. Plus, it’s full of stickers, too! Molly LOVES stickers.
After reading both sides of the book about three times, she finally drifted off to sleep. I guess all that shopping wore her out because she did not move for seven hours, which is a record for her. The next morning, I could tell she loves her new bed. She keeps telling me how warm and comfy her new “FROZEN bed” is. Since getting her new bed and toys, she’s even more excited to see the movie. She keeps asking if it’s Thanksgiving yet so we can go to the FROZEN movie.

I love how you did a big girl bed theme with your transition. My little guy isn’t ready for the big change but I’m going to tuck this idea away.
How fun! I can’t wait until I have a little girl so she can get into princesses and girly things like this! Also, this movie looks so cute!
Can I steal her? She is adorable and I love the transition! Parents like you are an inspiration for my one day family! 🙂
I’m so excited for Frozen too and will probably be there Thanksgiving day as well!
I need to do this transition with our second son before the new baby arrives and I’m DREADING it! Maybe he would be motivated to stay in his bed with fun bedding 🙂
So precious! She looks so excited to be in her big girl bed! And what fun finds with all the FROZEN stuff! Hope she is still loving it! 🙂 #FrozenFun #client
Where did you buy your Frozen bedding at? I’m having a hard tine finding anything.
I got mine at Walmart.com. I know Target had it online, too. When I bought it, it was sold out at Walmart.com for a few days but I just kept checking daily until late one night it was back in stock. They replenish it, but it sells out fast.
anybody there. wow this reminds me on frozen when elsa couldn’t see anna or play with her=(
