Thank you so much to DockATot for partnering with me in this post. All opinions are my own.
Before our little Ivy was born, I heard about DockATot. I needed something for napping and co-sleeping, and after finding out more, I knew a DockATot would be perfect. Since then, we’ve been using the DockATot Delux+ every single day and night. Ivy is now 9 months old, and I started to notice she was getting a bit snug for the size, so I decided to upgrade to a DockATot Grand Dock.
After having my baby, I found I just love these products so much. But when I was learning about the different DockATots, it felt a bit overwhelming. I wasn’t too sure on the differences in sizes. Now that we have both sizes, I thought it would be helpful to share with you the differences between the Grand and Delux+ so you could see which would be best for you.

DockATot Delux+
This is Ivy in the DockATot Delux+ at about 2 1/2 months old and weight at about 8 lbs. (She was a late term preemie at 35 weeks). This was the perfect place to keep her safe when she was tiny.
- Stage 1 dock
- For babies ages 0-8 months old or 5-22Ibs
- 18 inches wide x 29-34 inches long [29 inches with clasps closed and 34 inches with clasps open]
- Perfect for diaper changes
- Great for co-sleeping
- Exactly what you need when your baby can’t sit up yet, but you want to put her on the floor or have tummy time.
This is Ivy in the DockATot Delux+ today. She’s on the smaller side at 9 months old and about 17 lbs. She still fits just fine when sleeping, except we have to unlatch the bottom for her feet. It’s too snug for her to play in if I add toys now that she can sit up. Even though she cannot crawl just yet, she can easily make herself roll over the sides.
DockATot Grand
This is Ivy today in the Dockatot Grand. She has tons of room to move around and play and lay down. We travel regularly to see our oldest daughter in college, and this is what I take for the baby in the hotel room when we travel.
- Stage 2 dock
- For babies age 9-36 months or 22-40lbs
- 24 inches wide x 39-47 inches long [39 inches with clasps closed and 47 inches with clasps open]
- Perfect for playing and lounging
- Ideal for travel such as room to room or vacation
- Great for bed transitioning, thanks to built-in, air permeable sides that act as bed rails, allowing young children to settle more easily in a bigger bed.
We will be using our new DockATot Grand for a long time. When Ivy is a toddler and transitioning to her big girl bed, this is going to make it so much easier for her. DockATot docks are perfect to give little ones a snug sense of security in their newer, bigger beds.
Did you know you can update your DockATot with a new cover?
Our DockATot Delux+ is in one of the older prints – Minty Trellis. It’s a great neutral color when you don’t know if you’re having a boy or girl just yet. DockATot also has a gorgeous new Fairytale collection of prints that are available in both Delux+ and Grand. They are just beautiful! I got our new DockATot Grand in the La Vie en Rose print for my little Ivy. I just love it! Now if you have a DockATot already, you can purchase a new cover in the Fairytale prints and more. This way you can easily match your mood, room and style.
They also have other great accessories like bags for transporting your DockATot as well as some adorable Toy Arch Sets to allow baby to play while in it.
