Now that the holiday craziness has died down, I thought I’d share our Christmas celebration.
On Christmas Eve, Santa comes to our house while we are driving around looking at Christmas lights. This is because Mommy is lazy and does not like being woken up at 6 am to open presents. 😉 This year my 9 year old knew the truth of Santa, and he was Santa’s helper for the first time. While Nate and my teenager got Miss M in the car, my son and I moved like the speed of light and pulled out all the presents around the tree, and I quickly filled stockings, and then we were in the car for Christmas lights.
Once we get home, we let the youngest run inside to tell us if Santa has been there. Then, we hand out stockings and every one opens their stockings while Mommy takes pictures.
Miss M’s diehard gift she begged for was Lambie house shoes from Doc McStuffins. It was really all she could talk about for Christmas, lol. In shopping for my 14 year old, I found the cutest little lamb house shoes and decided she had to get a pair, too, so they’d be matchy! They were thrilled!
Grandma and Grandpa usually come over, but Grandma has been so sick, they just sent their gifts over for us to open during Christmas time.
Nate was really happy with the Muk Luk’s I got him. Can you tell? LOL If you’ve never heard of them, they are like sock house shoes with a wool upper and the bottom is leather with a super soft fleece inside. They are heavenly and warm! I really wanted to steal his pair, so I decided to buy my own. They finally arrived today!
Oh look, you can see a tiny part of our Christmas tree behind Nate’s head. I forgot to take a picture of it this year. We both have very bad allergies, so we can only have an artificial tree. We are still debating on throwing it away this year. It now leans on one side, and I’m convinced it’s going to fall over one of these Christmases.
