Man in the Empty Suit by Sean Ferrell
My rating: 2 of 5 stars
I love novels that incorporate time travel. This is the story of a man who time travels, and many of his selves go to his own birthday party bash every year. But, the older selves are paranoid fruit loops, while the younger selves are hard partying idiots.
Then, he learns the secret…one year, he discovers he is killed at the birthday party. How are there still older and younger selves attending the party every year? The year before it’s supposed to happen to him, he sets out to solve the mystery and stop it from happening.
This one has such promise. I thought I’d love it. I could barely get through it. Over and over again, the birthday party is rehashed. It drove me insane. I finally gave up and still have not finished it. I’m planning to go back and read it again when I feel the urge. So far that hasn’t happened.
