Do you like to read? Reading novels is like breathing for me. Allowing myself to fall into a book is my way to relax. One thing I love about reading is sharing that love with others like with a book club.
Hosting a book club get together is such a great way to share that love of reading. Besides talking all about books, the food and drink are the next best thing!
Doesn’t it seem like books and coffee go hand in hand? For a book club get together, I love making a spread of coffee and desserts. For the desserts, I have a variety of treats from strawberries to cupcakes to biscotti. For the drinks, Starbucks® at home is the only way to go.
One of my favorite coffee drinks is flavored lattes, and Starbucks® sent me a lovely gift full of their NEW Starbucks® Caffè Latte K-Cup® Pods. It is absolutely delicious!
They come in three great Starbucks® signature flavors — Caramel, Mocha, and Vanilla, and they also have two seasonal flavors for a limited time — Pumpkin Spice and Peppermint Mocha. All are made from milk with no artificial flavors, and you can find them nationwide at your local grocery store.
There is a two-step process to make this coffee drink:
- Pour the flavor packet into the mug.
- Brew the Starbucks® Caffe Blend K-Cup® pod in your Keurig® brewer right in the mug. Then, stir to enjoy!
Making a cute tablescape just sets the mood for a great book club get together. I love adding a special decorative touch like a stack of books and these easy DIY Mercury Glass Mason Jar Votives. Here’s what you need to make them:
Table of Contents
Supplies:
- Looking Glass spray paint
- Mason jars
- cotton rag
- vinegar
- water
- spray bottle
Directions:
Wash and dry your mason jars (or you can use upcycled glass jars).
In a spray bottle put equal parts water and vinegar. I had a very small spray bottle, so I used 1/3 cup of each.
Place the mason jars upside down on some cardboard.
Spray the mason jars liberally with the vinegar water.
Shake the looking glass spray paint for a couple minutes. Then, spray all over the mason jars.
Allow them to dry for 10 minutes before gently rubbing a spot here and there on the jars.
Flip the jars over and spray them again. Then, wait an additional 10 minutes and rub a spot here and there.
Allow to dry completely before using on your tablescape.
That’s all there is to it! You can drop in regular tea lights. I used remote control tea lights, so all I have to do is click a button to turn them all on or off at the same time.
Which Starbucks® Caffe Blend K-Cup® pod are you excited to try? Don’t forget to grab a coupon for $1.50 off before you head to the store!

Those look so pretty! I love the metallic look and the way the light of the flame plays off them. Gorgeous!

The mocha Starbucks flavor is certainly going to be my favorite. I LOVE how those jars came out. Very cool looking.
Those are cute mason jars.
I agree coffee at home is the way to go. My husband would enjoy the latte. I don’t care for them because I don’t care for super strong coffee.
Brilliant idea! Love ’em. And seeing the coffee makes me want to grab another cup right now. It’s been a chilly day over here. 🙂
Your Mason Jars came out great and add a perfect touch to a book club meeting. Starbucks’ Caramel Caffè Latte is my favorite one to make at home.
