Everyone has stress, and it’s not always a bad thing. Do you remember your first date with your spouse? I was totally stressed out and nervous about it. As a blogger, I am sometimes invited on media tours, and they make me so nervous. But, I’ve found most of my stress is just the anticipation of something new, and most times it works out just fine. Though, it still helps to relieve stress when you can.
There are many things you can do to relieve stress. Â Consistently, there are a top few that I go to first when I need to reduce stress in my life. Â Here are my favorte FIVE ways to reduce stress:
1. Get Enough Sleep.  This is one of the biggest things I do to help relieve stress.  Women typically need 6-9 hours of sleep, but we are so busy with working and family that sleep is often what we give up.  Whenever I’m feeling stressed, I will remind myself that I need to go to bed. There is just nothing like snuggling down into your cozy bed and allowing yourself to relax and drift off to sleep.
2.  Exercise.  Before my third child was born, I was able to work out consistently.  Now, I’m just so busy, it’s often hard to fit in.  But, exercising is a great stress reliever. Not only does it get your heart pumping, but it released endorphins to make you feel better.
3. Â Take time to do something you love. Â One of my most favorite things is to cuddle up under a blanket with a cup of blueberry tea and a good book. Â For awhile, I didn’t make time to do this, but since getting an iPad and the Kindle app, I make sure I read several times a week. Â I can feel the tension and stress disappear as I start to read and fall into another world. Â It’s something I look forward to every single day.
Whether it’s painting or taking a walk or even watching television, make sure you take time for yourself and de-stress.
4. Â Laugh. It sounds silly to tell someone to laugh more often, but I find when my husband and I have a laugh fest, I feel so much better. Â It’s a great way to release stress and tension. Â It also has been found to release both dopamine and endorphins and can lower blood pressure and bolster immune function. .
5.  Try RESCUE Pastilles, Sleep Liquid Melts, or Pearls.  They help you stay calm and in control and are  homeopathic.  They were developed by a doctor and are gentle, safe, and non-habit-forming.  I had friends who used them long ago, and I was amazed at how I did notice a difference when using them.
RESCUE stress relief products are available now in the US at CVS, Walgreens, Whole Foods, Sprouts and wherever you find natural products!

Stress is so detrimental to our health. My stress relief is normally to go outside & take a walk. Being outdoors is relaxing.
I have a friend who swears by those pastilles. I need to try them!
I generally will lie down on my bed (when possible) close my eyes and think pleasant thoughts until I dose iff for an hour or so. If that is not possible I try deep breathing–sometimes works. I think I need to keep some of this stuff around!
Great list. Thanks for sharing this. So many people have so much stress in their lives.
I will be trying RESCUE Pastilles, Sleep Liquid Melts, or Pearls. They are now on my wish list
Laughter is my huge daily routine – because I love having fun!
