Did you know March 17th is not just St. Patrick’s Day, it’s also National Corn Dog Day! I’ve got just the thing to celebrate — Asian Sesame Corn Dogs with hot spicy mustard for dipping! You are going to love these, and who’s to say you can’t have a corn dog in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day?Â
First, you’ve got to have the BEST corn dogs, which are State Fair® Corn Dogs. We’ve been buying State Fair Corn Dogs for years, ever since I was a kid. I find them in the freezer aisle at H-E-B, one of my favorite grocery stores.  I like to buy the 22-count box because each corn dog is individually wrapped. This way they are great for packing for lunch for my son or husband where they can microwave it.
Check out this deal: From 2/28/18 through 3/27/18, you can find an H-E-B Yellow Coupon available where you can buy any one 22-count of State Fair Corn Dogs and get $2 off!
State Fair Corn Dogs are the perfect snack or meal, and moms trust them. They’re great to help fuel kids’ play because they’re a good source of protein at 6 grams per serving. I usually make an easy lunch with State Fair Corn Dogs on the weekends, and the kids (and even my husband) are excited when I pull them out of the freezer.

Asian Sesame Corn Dogs
You can easily change up plain ol’ corn dogs into something fun like these Asian Sesame Corn Dogs complete with some spicy mustard dipping sauce. Here’s how:
Prepare your State Fair Corn Dogs according to the package. They have three ways via microwave, oven, or fryer. Our favorite is in the oven for the perfect crispy outside.
Once, they’re ready, let them cool for a few minutes while you make some spicy mustard dipping sauce. When they’re cool, drizzle honey over the top of each one and shake some sesame seeds liberally over the drizzled honey. The sesame seeds will stick right to the honey.
I like to make a spicy mustard dipping sauce with red pepper flakes and soy sauce to top them off. My husband and son love spicy dipping sauces, and this is one of their favorites.
This recipe is very easy. You just need to add all the ingredients together and mix. If it’s not spicy enough for you, add additional red pepper flakes for more heat. I actually started out with just 1/2 a teaspoon of red pepper flakes, but my family wanted it hotter. If you want to back off on the heat, then just add only 1/2 a teaspoon of red pepper flakes.

Our family loves State Fair corn dogs! I love this twist on “plain ol'” corn dogs. It definitely spruces things up!
Now that is the awesome way to jazz up some corn dogs. I always think of corn dogs as a kids food but jazzing it up this way I would totally eat it.
I love the State Fair Beef corndogs, my son can’t eat pork so we buy the beef and they taste amazing. Great add-ons, I will have to try next time!
I love corn dogs! I also like this idea of kicking them up a little bit with the honey drizzled on them with sesame seeds and spicy mustard. Excellent snack choice!
What a great idea to dress up a corndog! I bet they taste amazing! My kids are huge fans!
OK now, this sounds like an amazing idea of a way to do something different with a corndog! I am definitely going to have to try it for myself. Thank you.
How fun! I want to give this a try. We’ve bought this brand for the kids before. The hot and spicy mustard sounds like a great match.
These look really good. These will be great served at an informal gathering. Corndogs are so much fun to eat and this spin on them really looks good.
What a great idea! My little one would eat corndogs every day if I let her. I would love to do something a little different for her.
Alright, this is genius! I have now seen it all! I never in a million years would have thought to do anything like this – or anything at all with corn dogs! I just have always eaten them as is! Not that they are not AWESOME just as they are but this is so much fun! I will do this!
