Mason Jar Chocolate Peanut Butter Toffee French Toast

Ingredients

  • 3 slices of sourdough bread
  • 1 tablespoons butter
  • 3 teaspoons brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup of Heath Bar Coffee Creamer (or milk or half and half)
  • 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tablespoons chocolate hazelnut spread or chocolate peanut butter spread.

Instructions

  1. Place 1 tablespoon of butter in the bottom of the jar.
  2. Sprinkle 2 teaspoons of brown sugar on top of the butter.
  3. Heat the jar for about 15 seconds to melt butter and sugar together.
  4. Cube 3 pieces of sourdough bread.
  5. In another jar or measuring cup, beat 1 egg.
  6. Then, mix together coffee creamer, cinnamon, and egg.
  7. Fill the jar 1/3 of the way with bread.
  8. Spread 1 tablespoon of cream cheese and 1 tablespoon of chocolate peanut butter on top of the bread.
  9. Pour 1/3 of the coffee creamer (milk) mixture into the jar.
  10. Fill the jar 1/3 of the way again with bread.
  11. Spread 1 tablespoon of cream cheese and 1 tablespoon of chocolate peanut butter on top of the bread.
  12. Pour the next 1/3 of the coffee creamer (milk) mixture into the jar.
  13. Fill the jar the rest of the way with the bread.
  14. Then, pour the rest of the coffee creamer (milk) mixture over the jar.
  15. Top it with the last teaspoon of brown sugar.
  16. Place the jar on a microwave safe plate and heat for 1 minute.
  17. Wait 30 seconds then heat for an additional 1 minute.
  18. Allow to cool for a couple minutes before serving.
  19. Optional: Top with caramel sauce if desired.
