Ingredients

  • 2 cans pinto beans, drained
  • 1 teaspoon bacon grease
  • water

Instructions

  1. Drain pinto beans and rinse thoroughly.
  2. In a sauce pan, cover with water, to about an inch above the beans.
  3. Add the bacon grease and turn on high.
  4. Allow beans to boil down for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Remove from fire, and smash with a potato masher or whip them with an immersion blender.
  6. Serve immediately.
