Description

An easy and delicious recipe for grapefruitade made from Texas ruby red grapefruits. And to cut the sugar, it’s made with sucralose instead of sugar.


Ingredients

Grapefruitade

  • 56 ripe ruby red grapefruits
  • 1 lemon
  • 2 cups simple sucralose syrup (recipe below)
  • 34 cups water

Simple Sucralose Syrup

  • 1 cup sucralose
  • 1 cup water

Instructions

Simple Sucralose Syrup

  1. Combine sucralose and 1 cup of water. Heat in the microwave for 4-5 minutes until it reaches a boil.
  2. Allow to cool.

Grapefruitade:

  1. In a strainer, juice all grapefruits and lemon to measure around 2 cups.
  2. Make the simple syrup and allow to cool for a few minutes.
  3. Transfer to a pitcher or bottle.
  4. Once the syrup has cooled, combine with juice.
  5. Add an additional 3-4 cups of water.
  6. Mix thoroughly.
  7. Chill for at least 2 hours before serving
